Letter to Coaches
All coaches are asked to fill out an Auburn Youth Hockey Coaching Application and Code of Conduct Form return it to the CEP Director Dana Berube. Coaching positions are then selected by the AYH Board. Once you have been selected as a coach, you will be required to register with USA Hockey and submit a copy of your registration to the Coaching Director.
Coaches Screening Process
All coaches must go through a screening process every three years, which has been mandated by the state organization (MeAHA). To complete this process go to the USA Hockey/MeAHA Insurance and Risk Management web site. Scroll down the page and follow the Maine Hockey Online Background Screening Program Instructions.
Once you have completed this process, you must print the confirmation page and turn in a copy to the AYH Coaching Director, Dana Berube.
Coaching Education Requirements
Coaches must have the appropriate USA Hockey Certification Level for the age group they are coaching. The following document outlines the current Coaching Education Requirements.

Student Coaches (Under age 18)
Any player wanting to help on the ice as a student coach must complete a Student Coach Information Form which must be approved by the Parent, Head Coach, and AYH Board member prior to gettting on the ice. Per USA Hockey regulations, NO ONE under the age of 13 can be used as a student coach. Student Coaching applications are available in the Forms section of this site, or by clicking the above link. They are also available in the concessions at Ingersoll Ice Arena.
