Elite Team Tryouts

AYH will be holding tryouts for the extended play Elite teams for the Mite, Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam divisions during the 1st week of January

AYH will be holding tryouts for the extended play Elite teams for the Mite, Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam divisions during the 1st week of January.

January 5           Squirts          6:30

January 7           Mites             5:15
                        PeeWees        6:30
                        Bantams        7:45

  

2010 Extended Play Teams

 

Extended play teams are designed with the purpose of providing a higher level of competition for the most skilled house players from Tier III or house level teams. Extended play teams will be scheduled against Tier II or Travel level equivalent caliber competition. The season will start in early January and will conclude in late march or early April.

 

* Extended Play teams are offered Mite thru Bantam player age divisions.

 

*Extended Play teams will not be offered in any division that declares a Tier II (Travel team).

  

*Extended Play teams are comprised of no more than the 16 most competitive players from house teams in each division.

 

* The head coach with assistance from evaluators at try-outs will rate and select the players for each team.    

  

* The head coach will be allowed two picks in the selection   process of the team he/she will coach.

 

   

The format of the season will be as follows:

 

*10-Practices

 

*10-Games

 

*1 Competitive Tournament

 

*Cost based on team size and budget (added tournaments, etc.)

** Player Ids for the MAINEiacs can still be obtained at the Colisee business office 8:30am-5pm after contacting treasurer@auburnyouthhockey.com
